Copy of How do I access a shared mailbox on the Web?
You can utilize the Outlook Web App (OWA) to access a shared mailbox as long as you have access to a browser and the internet. No Outlook desktop app is required. This article will describe how to access the mailbox.
Before we begin, you must have access to a shared mailbox in order to follow the steps outlined below. To request access to the shared inbox, submit this request: Request Access to Shared Email Account. If you're looking to create a new shared email account, submit this request: Create a Shared Email Account.
- Open a recommended browser, such as Chrome, Edge of Firefox and navigate to https://outlook.office.com/mail.
- If you are prompted to sign in, enter your normal credentials. Do not use the shared mailbox address here. That will be used later.

- After entering your username, you'll be prompted to type in your SSO password. Again - This is the password for your normal SSO account. Click Sign in and authenticate with Duo if required.
- Your personal mailbox will load. Click on your profile picture / initials at the top right of your screen, and a sub-menu will open. Select Open another Mailbox.

- A dialog box will open asking for the mailbox name. Enter the name of your shared mailbox here and select Open.
- The mailbox will open in a new tab. You will be able to manage the shared mailbox or send messages just like you normally would from your individual account.
