How to Install TextHelp Read and Write Screen Reader

Read & Write by Texthelp is a widely used literacy support software that provides a suite of reading, writing, and study tools designed to assist a diverse range of learners.

If you were referred to use this software by EWU SASS, read on below for instructions on installing the software onto Windows and Mac computers:

Navigate to the Read&Write Software Downloads page and select the appropriate download option. The two main options are as follows:
1. Windows - Read&Write for Windows (MSI) - Group/Unlimited License
2. Mac - Read&Write for Mac (Install and USB)
When the download has finished, follow the prompts to install the software.
Upon installation you will notice a new icon at the top of your main display. Click on it.
A window will pop up with activation options. Select Use Take Home Code.
Enter the Take Home Code. If this was not provided to you, contact the Help Desk at 509.359.2247 or e-mail them at support@ewu.edu
Click Sign In to complete the activation.
