Clients will receive a "socket error" message if they attempt to connect to UC4 with an old client version.
To manually update the UC4 client on a Desktop:
Download the new client from http://jobsub-prod.ec.ewu.edu:5050/UC4PROD/Intro.html
(Use the Download Application Manager Client link)
- On your computer, navigate to C:\Users\<username>\AppWorx\UC4PROD
- Delete the contents of this UC4PROD folder (except for the atonic.ico (Icon) file, which is not included in the CLIENT.ZIP)
- Extract the downloaded CLIENT.ZIP file to the UC4PROD folder
You should be able to connect using your original desktop shortcut that was created from the Software Center install.
