What are the SMTP and IMAP Settings for EWU Email?

EWU supports and recommends using Outlook on the Web or the Outlook clients for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. To use a third-party email client, like Mac Mail or Thunderbird, you must ensure that it supports Microsoft Modern Authentication/OAuth2. Not all third-party clients do. We do not support the configuration of third-party clients, this information is provided for your convenience. POP is not supported.

Incoming Mail Server:

Server name: outlook.office365.com
Port Number: 993
Protocol: IMAP
Encryption Method: SSL

Outgoing Mail Server:

Server name: ewu-smtp.eastern.ewu.edu
Port Number: 587
Protocol: SMTP
Encryption Method: TLS/STARTTLS (begin with STARTTLS, if doesn't work, switch to TLS)

Note: For the user name enter your full email address (e.g. swoop@ewu.edu)
