Zoom is a video and web conferencing app. All students, faculty and staff have an account through EWU. To use Zoom, you must first download the Zoom app. Zoom integration is available for Outlook and Office 365.

How to Login on the Web

  1. Go to https://inside.ewu.edu and select Zoom from the A-Z Service list.
  2. Log in with your EWU NetID and password
  3. If asked, our Zoom domain is ewu.zoom.us

Join a meeting

With Meeting ID

  1. Go to ewu.zoom.us
  2. Enter the Meeting ID or Meeting Room Name provided by the host
  3. Select Join
  4. After you are redirected to a new page, select Open zoom.us. (If you are not prompted to do so, download Zoom.)

Join With URL

  1. Open a browser window.
  2. Paste the Join URL into the browser and enter.
  3. After you are redirected to a new page, select Open zoom.us. (If you are not prompted to do so, download Zoom.)
Schedule a meeting
  1. After logging in, select Meetings from the sidebar.
  2. Under the Upcoming Meetings tab, press Schedule A New Meeting.
  3. Create a name and description, and set the meeting time.
  4. Choose your settings for your meeting.
  5. Press Save.

Scheduled meetings

  1. After logging in, select Meetings from the sidebar.
  2. Your scheduled meetings will be listed under the Upcoming Meetings tab.
  3. Find the scheduled meeting you wish to start and select Start.
  4. After you are redirected to a new page, select Open zoom.us. (If you are not prompted to do so, download Zoom.)
  5. The Zoom app will open and your meeting will begin.

Personal Meeting Room

You can start a meeting in your Personal Meeting Room at any time.

  1. After logging in, select Meetings from the sidebar.
  2. Select the Personal Meeting Room tab.
  3. Select Start Meeting.
  4. After you are redirected to a new page, select Open zoom.us. (If you are not prompted to do so, download Zoom.)
  5. The Zoom app will open and your meeting will begin.
Invite others to your meeting
  1. After logging in, select Meetings from the sidebar.
  2. Select either a scheduled meeting or your Personal Meeting room.
  3. Copy either the Meeting ID or the Join URL.
  4. Send the Meeting ID or the Join URL to your invitees.
