WEPA - What is it and how does it work?
WEPA (Wireless Everywhere Print Anywhere) is a cloud-based printing service available for Eastern enrolled students and guests and it is compatible with Windows Devices, MacOS, iOS and Android. It consists of several physical Print Stations located throughout the Cheney and Spokane campuses. While it is designed to be utilized by students with the swipe of their Eagle Card, it can also be utilized by guests without an account. Print jobs can then be paid for by Eagle Flex (swiping your card), Print Credits, which are assigned to all students who pay the Tech-Fee, or a Credit / Debit card. This article will explain how to utilize the WEPA printers, where they are located and provide some resources should you run into issues with a print.
Printing Options
As an enrolled student, you have many options on how to leverage WEPA to handle your print jobs. You're able to print from the cloud (Google Drive, OneDrive), a personal computer, uploading to the web portal, via e-mail, from the Mobile App and from a USB Drive. We've outlined the different methods below with links on how to utilize them.
-
From the Cloud (G: Drive, OneDrive, Drop box): support.wepanow.com - Cloud Storage
This method helps you print from documents already located in cloud storage, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Drop Box or Canvas.
-
From a Personal Computer: support.wepanow.com - Print App (driver install)
This method installs a print driver on your computer, allowing you to navigate to File -> Print -> Select the WEPA print option (black&white, color, etc)
-
From the web portal: support.wepanow.com - Web Upload
This method allows you to manually upload your files to the WEPA cloud, which you can then select when you're at a WEPA print station.
-
From e-mail: support.wepanow.com - E-mail to Print
This method allows you to e-mail your document to print@wepanow.com from your student e-mail, which will automatically associate it with your student account. You can then select the document for printing when you're at a WEPA print station.
-
From the Mobile App: support.wepanow.com - WEPA Express
This method allows you to send documents straight to the WEPA cloud from a mobile device, such as a phone or iPad. You can then select the document for printing when you're at a WEPA print station.
-
From a USB Drive: support.wepanow.com - Print from USB
This method helps you print directly from a USB drive inserted into a WEPA print station.

Payment Methods
Print Credits are applied to each student who pays the TechFee at the beginning of each Quarter or Semester. The credit for Quarter students are $9.00 / Quarter and the credit for Semester students are $13.50 / Semester. Be aware that the balance does not carry over from quarter to quarter or semester to semester. If you'd like to remotely check on your Print Credit balance, check the WEPA portal at http://wepanow.com and set Eastern Washington University as your school. After logging in with your SSO information, you'll be able to see your current balance.
Eagle Flex is a prepaid, declining-balance account linked to the Eastern Washington University (EWU) EagleCard, functioning like a debit card for students. It can be used for various kinds of purchases on campus, including printing at WEPA print stations. To learn more about EagleFlex, goto https://inside.ewu.edu/eaglecard/flex
Debit / Credit Card can also be utilized for direct payments of prints. This is the only option available to guests who do not have a student account.

Important tidbits:
Common Issues and their workarounds
Q: My Eagle Card swipes aren't being recognized:
A: Check the magstripe on your Eagle Card. Ensure it's free of dirt and debris. If this doesn't work, use the manual login (tap on the "Don't have a Campus Card") to complete your print job and notify the Help Desk at helpdesk@ewu.edu or 509.359.2247.
Q: My printed documents don't look right. The formatting is all wrong:
A: We strongly recommend saving your documents as a PDF prior to sending them to WEPA. This "locks" in the formatting and ensures your prints will look exactly like the document you're seeing.
Q: I've initiated a print, but nothing is happening:
A: Check the screen on the WEPA Print Station for any errors on the screen and note the time. Contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@ewu.edu or 509.359.2247 and report the location of the failed print, and the time that it was initiated.
Q: I see a Low Toner or Low Paper warning on the screen. What should I do?:
A: Contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@ewu.edu or 509.359.2247 and advise them right away. A team will be dispatched to refill the toner or paper.
Q: I want a refund from a failed print or a print job that I don't recognize. What should I do?:
A: To request a refund please email help@wepanow.com and provide the username associated with your wēpa account along with the title of the document that you are requesting a refund for. When requesting refunds for defective prints please provide photos of the defect. This will help the WEPA team better determine the steps needed to fix the issue. Refunds typically take 2-3 business days after approval to post to your account.
Please be aware that EWU does not refund for defective prints, and these requests must go directly through WEPA. WEPA does not refund for print jobs that were caused by user error (example: You printed a document that you didn't mean to).
