In order to enroll Touch ID as a 2nd factor option in Duo, you must have the following:

  • A Mac computer that supports Touch ID
  • A current version of Chrome Web Browser

1. Make sure you've enabled your Touch ID on you Mac. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Touch ID. Open Touch ID preferences for me. Click “Add Fingerprint,” enter your password, then follow the onscreen instructions.

2. Visit 

- If you haven't enrolled in Duo yet, click on the "REGISTER FOR TWO FACTOR AUTHENTICATION" button

- If you're already enrolled in Duo and want to add your Touch ID, click on the "MANAGE DEVICES" button

3. Click "Add another device"

4. Select "Touch ID" as the type of device to add and click Continue. 

IMPORTANT: You must use Chrome Web Browser to enroll and use Touch ID 

5. Click Continue to enroll your Touch ID

6. When prompted, click Allow to allow Duo to use your Touch ID

7. You should now see your newly added Touch ID option listed as a device
