This is the work around for finesse error: "CF_RESOURCE_OUT_OF_SERVICE Please try again or contact the administrator." When trying to go to "Ready" state in the call queue. This is a known bug.
If they are onsite trying to log in via their desk phone or are at home on jabber and get this error; below are the work around(s). Make sure they don't have their Jabber soft-phone open at the same time while trying to log into the queue onsite. For best practice, log out of your extension mobility profile on your desk phone before you leave work. You can only be logged into one. With Jabber open and running it is essentially "signed in".
For onsite/physical desk phone users (and IP communicator):
1.) Make sure you are logged into extension mobility on your desk phone. (See "How do I use Extension Mobility?" article for how to do so. https://support.ewu.edu/support/solutions/articles/10000048462)
2.) Log into Cisco Finesse
3.) Press "OK" on the error.
4.) Select or highlight the IPCC number on your physical desk phone by pressing the hard key next to the "IPCC" number.
5.) Pick up the handset.
6.) Hang up the handset.
7.) Then select "Ready" on Finesse.
If you are using Cisco JABBER:
1.) Make sure Cisco Jabber is open and running
2.) Log into Cisco Finesse
3.) Press "OK" on the error.
4.) Select the IPCC number listed on your Jabber profile. (See "Locating IPCC number in Jabber for Cisco Finesse" solution article on how to locate your IPCC number on Jabber if needed. https://support.ewu.edu/support/solutions/articles/10000060155)
5.) Click the dial pad on Jabber and make a call with your IPCC number to yourself or to a coworker, you'll need to hear dial tone while on your IPCC number otherwise it wont work. (See "Cisco Jabber Quick Start Guide" for dial pad location. https://support.ewu.edu/support/solutions/articles/10000058919)
6.) Click off the dial pad/hang up in Jabber and re-select your 4 digit extension, same as you did when selecting your IPCC number.
7.) Then select "Ready" on Finesse.
This should resolve this issue for the day. If you continue to have issues please contact the EWU IT help-desk at x2247 (509.359.2247) or your IT coordinator.
Thank you.
