How do I securely share a OneDrive file or folder with an external recipient?

OneDrive allows you to share files securely with non-EWU recipients without requiring them to have a Microsoft or Office 365 account.
To begin, upload your file to your personal OneDrive or a OneDrive Shared Library.
Select a file or folder, then click Share.
Click the button labeled Anyone with the link can edit and change the option to Specific People.
Enter the recipient email address(es), optionally compose a message, and click Send.
External recipients will be sent an email message with a time-limited, single-use verification code when they open the link. By entering the verification code, the user proves ownership of the email account to which the secure link was sent.
