In order to reset your Student Email Password, you will need to also know your SSO password (your NetID password).  If you do not know your SSO/NetID password, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to https://account.ewu.edu
  2. Select Forgot Password
  3. Enter your NetID (if you do not know your NetID, please contact the Help Desk at 509-359-2247 and we can provide the NetID after verifying your identity)
  4. Answer any verification questions that are presented, or follow the SMS validation steps.
  5. Set the password.


In order to reset your Student Email Password and you know your NetID password, do the following:

  1. Go to https://account.ewu.edu
  2. Select Student Email Forgotten Password
  3. Enter the NetID password
  4. Click the Reset Password button, this will set a temporary password.
  5. Wait a few seconds for the page to be presented again
  6. Make note of the First Login Password and click the link presented:  https://outlook.com/owa/eagles.ewu.edu
  7. Follow the prompts to set a personal password once logged in using the temporary password
